Let us introduce ourselves

The institute for respiratory diseases "Medaimun" was founded in 2008. In the course of time, a private consultation service was added alongside our clinical research department. Our core competence lies in the implementation of phase 2 and phase 3 studies, as well as in the consultation and execution of monocentric “proof of concept” studies. We specialize in indications in the fields of pneumology, allergology and infectiology.

The Medaimun team mostly works as a “study site” in the context of multicenter and monocenter studies in the field of respiratory diseases such as asthma and COPD as well as allergic diseases (hay fever & food allergy).

We have certified investigators, who care for patients during study visits and serve as the point of contact for monitors regarding medical questions.

Highly qualified study nurses, who are responsible for organizing visit appointments, performing functional measurements such as lung function tests, ECGs, and blood collections, as well as managing study documentation in collaboration with the investigators.

We have a modern patient database in which well-characterized patients with asthma, allergies, and COPD are recorded.

Medaimun has an inpatient organizational unit. We are able to conduct overnight studies with serial lung function measurements and pharmacokinetic studies. We have beautiful overnight rooms (see slideshow).

Medaimun is an expert in sputum. An in-house accredited laboratory has specialized expertise in the collection and processing of induced sputum.
